I haven’t logged in here in so long that I had to delete 70+ spam comments. Why so many? Probably not that many considering that it’s been 2 years since I last logged in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have made many little posts on Facebook, 0 posts about writing on Instagram, and haven’t kept up with my Goodreads reading log. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have started and quit weightlifting a couple of times. I enjoy lifting. I even took the class in high school. I’ve started a Discord server, but I barely post there either. If you can find it, I posted the start of a vampire story that I’ve been working on since about this time last year. I haven’t posted anything new for a while. It would be better if I posted it here instead, but I haven’t bothered to do it yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My son gained an IEP (individual education plan) because he has enough autism traits to need it. I haven’t pursued a diagnosis for him. His twin was diagnosed with borderline ADHD in 1st grade. Their grades have improved over the last two years. Pretty sure it’s their school that’s the biggest reason I haven’t been writing much. At one point, Twin 2 had a 14% in math for the semester last year. They’re actually passing math this year! Twin 1 is passing science and Twin 2 is failing science, but not by much. His science grade is in the 60’s. Consider me a happy mom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I joined the boy’s Scout troop in July as a leader so I could go to Merit Badge University with them. What an experience that was! I had no concept of what we were getting into, but we loved it with one exception- it’s still like school and there’s work to do. I’m really not comfortable being a leader, but 14 years of being a parent is pretty good training, and I’m getting used to the idea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yesterday, we went to help one of the older boys with his Eagle Scout project, which is building a box for people to donate their flags so they can be retired properly. There were about a dozen boys cutting wood, sanding, etc, with the Scout leading the boys in the project. I tried to be quiet and let the boys learn, but none of them had cut plywood or planned out a project before. I wanted to make suggestions, but I’m getting over a cold, and my voice isn’t loud enough at the moment to get over a crowd of boys. We really need the boys to do more projects because there’s no guarantee that my boys will get to do wood shop or any of the other electives in high school next year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
